English Conversation Club
Ideal for B1 - C2 students
Practice your conversation skills with in an informal, relaxed setting. with other language learners and native speakers.
Our trained volunteers will be on hand to help with grammar and language advice.
There is no need to book, just come along an meet The Living Language Project volunteers in Café Hope on Mondays between 12noon and 1pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
Practice the vocabulary ahead of time by going through our online flashcards. Here is a list of our upcoming topic so you can prepare in advanced if you wish:

There are a lot of great online resources you can use to help prepare for the English Conversation Club, or simply to use to improve your English skills. Here are our recommendations:
Oxford Online English - quality online video lessons and quizzes.
Oxford Learner's Dictionaries - a dictionary designed for language learners. This site features the Oxford 3000 and 5000 which are the most important words to learn in English as well as much more.
Word Reference - a translation tool which also give you example sentences
Grammarly Handbook - a complete guide of English Grammar rules. If you want to improve your writing you can also add the Grammarly extension to your browser.
Collins Dictionary - as well as a dictionary, Collins has a translator, thesaurus and language learning tools such as Word Lists.
Perfect English Grammar - easy to understand gramma explanations and exercises.
Forvo - a pronunciation dictionary where you can hear words pronounced in different accents.
Write and Improve - practice your writing skills and receive feedback on how you can improve.
iSL Collective - has a wide range of teacher-made resources. Those made by Blackbird English can be found here.
